Sherlock Holmes themed Birthday Card

My sis is a die hard fan of Sherlock Holmes. So decided on making a birthday card which gave more of a detective and a mystery feel. :P I have drawn the outline of Sherlock Holmes and then figures of a body marker, Sherlock's house address, his key and a smoking pipe. In the inside of the card, gave an outline of footprints all around the page and the writings in "Fingerprint" font.

Pottery is the art of making ceramic material into pots using clay. This is a Rajasthani couple made out of clay and then painted.

Feather Art! #tribe effect#

One day when I was just walking down my building, found a few feathers lying on the ground. I wondered, why not try painting on them? I didn't even know it would work out. I was in the assumption that paints wouldn't stick on it or the colours wouldn't pop up. But I was wrong. To my surprise, it turned out pretty darn good. Loved painting on these little feathers. Never imagined it would turn out to be this beautiful!

#She sells seashells on the seashore#Painting on Canvas!!

This was a start to all my works on Canvas Boards. Got this kit where the picture was already drawn and just had to paint. Such painting kits gave me the drive to start from scratch on Canvas Boards.

Doodling! #Hobby#

I have this latest addiction towards doodling and so came as I was surfing, I came across this page zenpiredesigns which gave me a variety of doodle designs. So this was done from one of their patterns i found on their page.

First Acrylic try on canvas! Ganesh love

I have never used paints before. And one fine day i just browse through Google, and see this beautiful Ganesha. And that's when I was like, why not give it a try? And so the try for my ever first acrylic painting on Canvas board started. Though I'm not much satisfied with the face but overall I felt I have done a pretty decent job for the first go.

Love for Doodling!#hobby#

This ship I had started it few days ago, but had left it unfinished. One fine day I was all low, so just came across this saying "I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning how to sail my ship" and thought it would go well with my doodle ship. So decided to complete it with the saying on the top.

Emboss painting!

I have been doing emboss paintings since childhood. It's always fascinated me with the way the picture embosses and gives you a 3D effect once you're done with it.

#First potrait# B'day gift!

This was my very first try on a potrait. It was a birthday gift. Struggled a bit in completing it but yes I did it. Yaayy me!

Acrylic painting! Random trial!

One random day, I just thought lets try painting as I am generally not comfortable with paint brushes. So took a simple pic and just improvising on my skills.

Doodle bookmarks

This was when initially when my love for doodling had just blossomed. I had this idea of doing Doodle Bookmarks and putting up a stall for charity. Eventually didn't work out though. But yes, I ended up gifting such bookmarks to few friends of mine.

Love for pencil sketch

This picture is one totally adorable and a cute little family pic(I presumed :P) which inspired me to sketch it. So just out of boredom, sketched it.

#First try#Zentangle#

This is my very first attempt on Zentangle too. I had atttended a workshop for Zentangle at Maven Academy and learnt this art form. Zentangle or also known as Zendoodling is an expression of creativity. Just an art of scribbling random designs and angles on paper. Such is the beauty of this art form. And so started my love for doodling!

#Sherlock Holmes#Bookmark love#

This was s gift to my sister as she is a die hard fan of Sherlock Holmes, so wanted to gift her something related to it. So thought of a bookmark (though she s not much of a book reader :P). Made the outline of Sherlock Holmes and painted it on cardboard and here it is the bookmark just like a sketch of Sherlock Holmes!

Pencil sketch

This beautiful bird came as a challenge to me. I was in Goa and when me and my friends were randomly seeing some artworks, one of my friend Hitesh, asked me to draw this bird. Initially I never thought I would be able to do it. It seemed very hard, the blending technique and the shades. But yes after a month or so, made up my mind to do it and completed it an hour's time.

Coffee painting#first try#love for buddha

I was surprised when i saw an advertisement for a workshop on "Coffee painting". I was really fascinated by the fact that you could even paint with coffee. And so, went for this 2 day workshop at Maven Art Academy. It's by far the most easiest and comfortable form of painting. You go wrong, you can simply wipe it off with a wet cloth. Easy right? Yes indeed. It took me 4 hours to complete this Buddha. One of my best paintings so far and I'm proud to say it. Thanks to Venmathi Ma'am for having shown us some really good techniques using coffee.
